Helen S. Reichenbaugh

Helen S. Reichenbaugh, 86, of Kittanning, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at ACMH Hospital.

She was born January 1, 1929, in Cowshannock Twp., Armstrong County, PA, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Agneiszka (Puc) Smulick.

Helen was a lifelong resident of Armstrong County and belonged to Pine Creek Baptist Church. Her passion in life was serving as a caregiver and nurse's aide. Throughout her career, she worked at Altmeyer Country Personal Care Home (later Grey's Colonial Acres Personal Care Home) and the Armstrong County Health Center. Helen was a former member of the Rural Valley American Legion and will be best remembered for the love she had for her family.

Helen will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Dean M. Reichenbaugh, whom she married February 18, 1989; son, William F. Metro and wife, Gail, of Whitesburg; daughters, Sandra Benson and husband, Jim, of Harbor Creek, and Georgina Anderson and husband, Tom, of Indiana, PA; step-son, Ed Reichenbaugh and wife, Sue, of North Apollo; step-daughter, Susan Beard and husband, Butch, of Apollo; grandchildren, Dominick Benson and Ann, of Erie, Jason Metro, of Whitesburg, Tina Junken and husband, Howard, of Erie, and Christy Sweet and husband, Donnie, of Whitesburg; step-grandchildren, Rich Beard and wife, Danielle, of Murrysville, Melissa Ray and husband, Roger, of Apollo, and Tara Cellitti and husband, Chris, of North Apollo; great-grandchildren, Alaina Field and Kevin, and Adrianna Carr and husband, Tom; step-great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kristen Beard, and Brandon and Lacey Ray; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, George Metro, Jr., who died April 29, 1979; grandson, William George Metro, who died in 1987; brothers, Andy, Albert, John, Mike and Bill Smulick; sisters, Karoline Smulick and Josephine Swab; and three infant siblings.

At the request of the family, services will be private.

Burial will be in Pine Creek Baptist Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
