Thomas W. Higginson, III

Thomas W. Higginson, III, 68, of Adrian, PA, died Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born in Kittanning, PA, on March 16, 1947, to Thomas Higginson II and Martha (John) Higginson.

On September 2, 1967, he married his love, Donna, and they raised three children together. Thomas worked at Eljer Industries for over 40 years. He was an avid Steeler's fan but his greatest joy came from watching his grandsons play football. Thomas was a member of the Kit-Han-Ne car club and enjoyed his red corvette, going to car shows, watching Nascar racing, and listening to AC/DC. He will best be remembered as a loving and caring husband, dad, grandpap, and great-grandpap.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 48 years, Donna (Brocious) Higginson; a son, Bryon Higginson and wife, Stephanie; two daughters, Stacy Higginson, and Tonya Kline and husband, Earl; four grandchildren, Logan Presley, Tyler Charney, Colin Kline, and Abigail Higginson; a great-grandson, Emmitt Thomas Watterson; a brother, Don Higginson and wife, Donna; and five sisters, Shirley Walker, Beverly Armstrong, Polly Dunmire, Cindy Higginson, and Shirley Higginson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and Bill Higginson; a sister, Pat Heasley; a nephew, Robert Walker; and two brothers-in-law, John Walker and Thomas "Dunny" Dunmire.

Relatives and friends may visit from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N McKean St., Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at the funeral home with the Rev. John W. Snyder officiating.

Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
