Arthur E. "Pete" Grazier, 76, of Shelocta, PA, passed away Wednesday, July13, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born January 22, 1940 in New Kensington, PA to Arthur Leo and Betty (Waddington) Grazier.

Pete was a resident of Shelocta for 12 years and lived most of his life in Springdale. He honorably served in the US Marines and worked as a turret lathe operator at Edgewater Steel in Oakmont for 38 years, where he was also a former union officer. Following his move to Shelocta, he worked for GPS Security. Pete was of the Protestant faith. He was an officer at the Falcon Club in New Kensington and was the former president of the board for Bouquet Park in Springdale.

He enjoyed bowling and loved being outdoors, especially while hunting and fishing. Pete's favorite memories were of traveling and camping with his wife and spending time with his children. He will be best remembered as a nice, kind-hearted man who would help anyone in need.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Edith Lee (Tipton) Grazier, whom he married April 7, 1972; sons, John Bauman, of New Kensington, Arthur S. Grazier and Jen, of New Kensington, Shannon D. Bauman and Mary, of New Kensington, Todd A. Grazier and wife, Skye, of Brackenridge, and Chad T. Grazier and Trudy, of Arnold; daughters, Gwendolyn K. Bauman, of Shelocta, and Kimberly A. Grazier, of Lower Burrell; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Stanley R. Grazier, of Mount Pleasant, James Grazier and wife, Diane, of Lake Havasu, AZ, and Mark Grazier, of Oklahoma; and sister, Virginia Stone, of Lower Burrell.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Durwin and Charles Grazier.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street, Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at the funeral home, with Pastor Joyce Dix-Weiers officiating. Military honors will follow and be conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard.

Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Cheswick, PA.
