Dorothy M. Crnovic

Dorothy M. Crnovic, 84, of Kittanning, PA, died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

She was born February 1, 1930 in Westmorland County, PA to Richard F. and Helen E. (Yates) Cummings.

Dorothy graduated from Derry High School and went on to earn her Registered Nursing Degree from the Methodist Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She then received her Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Dorothy worked as registered nurse at the Latrobe Hospital for several years while she resided in the Latrobe and Blairsville areas until she and her husband moved to Kittanning in 1990. Dorothy then became a substitute school nurse for Armstrong School District for many years.

She was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. Dorothy cherished the time spent with her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen A. Petrosky and husband, Robert, of Kittanning; granddaughter, Dr. Kristin Petrosky, of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Richard Cummings, of Blairsville, and Jay Cummings and wife, Darlene, of Latrobe; sisters, Helen Bravis, of Derry, and Georgine Loughry, of Blairsville; sisters-in law, Theresa Crnovic and Mathilda Crnovic, both of Penn Hills, Barbara Crnovic, of Ocean City, MD, Rita Crnovic, of Pittsburgh, and Anna Lober, of Boynton Beach, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Matthew Crnovic, whom she married May 28, 1955 and who died March 30, 2006.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, July, 15, 2014 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 North McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 101 W. High St., Kittanning, with the Reverend Douglas E. Dorula and the Reverend Raphael K. Glinkowski co-officiating.

Interment will be at Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
