Jeffrey Michael McClaine, age 45, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012, at his residence.

He was born in Butler, PA on August 15, 1966, the son of Ronald Michael and Harriet Ellen (Howard) McClaine.

Jeff was a resident of the East Brady and Rimersburg area all of his life. He graduated from East Brady High School and Lenape Vo-Tech School in 1984 and honorably served as a sergeant in the US Air Force. He previously worked at Damon Industries for one year before working as a plant operator for Allegheny Energy for the last 20 years. Jeff was a member of the NRA and loved being outdoors, either hunting or working on his farm. He was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a generous benefactor of the Christian Children's Fund. Recently Jeff returned from a mission trip to Nicaragua where he helped build a church parsonage; it was an experience he would never forget.

Generous was a word that described Jeff. He freely gave of his time and talents to anyone who needed help and would always be available for anyone in need. Those who knew him will always remember his kind heart and selfless nature, and how he was a devoted Christian man who loved his family dearly.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Ronald and Harriet McClaine; his loving wife of 25 years, Penny (Switzer) McClaine, who he married April 4, 1987; sons, Jeremy and Evan McClaine, both of Rimersburg; sister, Ruth Cochran and husband, Brian, of Chicora; parents-in-law, Ernest and Georgia Switzer, of Rimersburg; sister-in-law, Linda Plyler, of Pittsburgh; niece, Brittany Cochran; and nephew, Colin Cochran.

Jeff was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon McClaine.
