Arthur W. Campbell

Arthur William Campbell, age 66, of Bela, PA, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital with his family by his side.

He was born in New Kensington, PA on October 10, 1946, the son of Arthur and Grace (Double) Campbell.

Art was raised in Kaylor and graduated from East Brady High School. He lived in Sligo for many years before moving to Bela. Since 2011, he lived in New Bethlehem with his daughter. Art worked for Penn DOT for 35 years before retiring in 2002 as a foreman. He also ran his own business that provided butchering, processing and pig roasts. Art was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Throughout his life he went on many hunting trips and rented charter boats on Lake Erie. He was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club and also belonged to the VFW in Clarion. After retirement, Art worked diligently at building his "man cave" from the ground up and proudly displayed his mounted heads and trophies. Despite his many interests, family always came first for Art. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and will be greatly missed.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Tracey Weimer, of Rimersburg and Tina Unger and husband, John, of New Bethlehem; grandchildren, Crystal (Best) Kahl and husband, Tommy, of Oil City, Christina (Malier) Alverez and husband, Daniel, of Oklahoma City, OK, Stevie S. Campbell, of Rimersburg, and Zac and Isaiah Unger, of New Bethlehem; great-grandsons, Charles, Nicholas and Joseph; great-granddaughters, Chloe, Eryn and Haylee; and brother, Jim Campbell, of New Kensington.

Art was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main St., Rimersburg.

Additional visitation will be from 12 PM until the time of funeral services at 1 PM on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Guntrum officiating.

Burial will be Mt. Hope Cemetery, Conneration, Rimersburg,Pennsylvania.
